An article helps pastors and Christian workers in building a Christian Reference Library to use in producing sermons and classes. I introduce the new Bible student to three free Bible programs, and offer some considerations:
(1) When you have no books on a subject.
(2) When you cannot find information of a Bible subject.
(3) When you cannot discern how much the author discusses the subject.
(4) You are searching for the wrong key word.Note: on my site, twmodules.com, I offer 2500+ free books for Bible study, and another 500+ books on thewordmodules.com. Also, I offer on https://theword-modules.com/ Bibles for theWord, theword-dictionary-modules.com 140+ dictionaries, concordances, lexicons, etc. for theWord, and on https://www.theword-commentary-modules.com/ I offer some 500+ Bible commentaries for theWord. All of these are free for the downloading, so if you have an Internet connection and some time and space on your hard drive, you can assemble a Christian library of around 3800 works. All free.

JWS18 Is the Soul Immortal? is a thorough examination of the Bible's teaching that the soul is immortal. The Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the person is annihilated (no longer exists, not conscientious) the moment they die. The Bible teaches the opposite of this.
Topics: The Soul is Body and Spirit (JWs declare that Jesus cannot be God. They deny eternal punishment in Hell) | Souls are People | God gives us an eternal soul | The Dead live on | Lazarus and the Rich Man | The Saints in Heaven | There is a Resurrection | The Unconverted in Hell | They believe that Annihilation is for Satan.

Buy me a Cup of Coffee

Buy me Steak Taco! You know, I work hard at my websites trying to provide you with good material that is sound doctrinally-speaking and of interest to God's people. It is hard work, but I don't mind doing it, and I feel called to the ministry, and God will bless me after all is said and done. But in the meantime, I do need to cover my expenses. I have a total of 34 websites (half English and half Spanish), and each one costs about $10 per month to keep up. That does not take into consideration my time and effort in writing content. Won't you consider at least a one time donation to this ministry of $10 or $20 dollars? It would be really great if you could gift me and my wife this money so that we could enjoy eating out at least once in a while. (I pay the expenses for these sites out of our living expenses.) God will richly bless you and repay you for your generosity. 1 Timothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. If you received some value from my websites, consider at lest a small donation. A big donation would really be nice, too though.

PREFACE
After the publication of my book in Chinese, quite a number of missionaries asked for an edition in English. I felt reluctant to comply, for personally I should prefer to have those books translated which better represent my ministry, rather than this one which is liable to be misunderstood and controverted. The book as it now stands is a greatly abridged and slightly revised edition of the Chinese. Neither in expression nor in style is it as English as I should wish, but I trust that in this respect I may count on the leniency of its readers. If all we want is the truth of God, then the difficulty of understanding the book should prove no serious barrier to the reading of it.
Because of the vastness of the subject and the importance of its issues, I have not found it easy either to write or translate this book. Since some of the same points have had to be dealt with in different parts of the book, it will be found necessary to read it right through if full understanding is to result. If, because of seemingly insurmountable difficulty, the book is laid aside before completed, a false position will result; whereas by reading it right through many if not all of the difficulties will be cleared up. Frequently the questions which arise at certain points are answered further on – sometimes much further on. To do the book justice, the reader is asked to finish reading it before passing judgment.
The book is not intended for anyone and everyone. It is for those who feel their responsibility in the Lord’s service. But more than this, it is for such as honestly and truly mean business for God, for those whose hearts are open, who have no padlocked mind or prejudices. The book may test one’s sincerity and honesty to no small degree, but I believe the Lord has shown something which is of importance to the whole body of Christ.
The whole matter will grow upon the reader and become clearer with relaxed contemplation after the first reading The door must not be closed with a snap of “Impossible!” or “Ideal, but not practical!” By prayerful openness of heart, without argument or discussion, the Spirit of truth should be given a chance, and then what is of Him will cause all our natural reactions to die away and we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. What is set forth in these pages is no mere theory or teaching but something we have actually tested in actual practice.
One of the prayers I have offered in connection with this book is that the Lord should keep it from those who oppose and would use it as a chart for attack and also from those who agree and would use it as a manual for service. I dread the latter far more than the former.
